Letter: Thanks

January 18, 2014

How can Boise thank Curtis Stigers and his talented friends enough for eight wonderful years of the Xtreme Holiday Xtravaganza? Not only have they produced countless hours of great live entertainment, but they have raised tens of thousands of dollars each year to support Boise charities.

This year Stigers’ efforts produced three consecutive evening performances to benefit Interfaith Sanctuary. Local artists filled the program to overflowing with musical entertainment. And while every act was completely engaging, special thanks has to go to Bill Coffey (and friends) for a rock-solid version of “Gimme Shelter” (recognizing the mission of Interfaith Sanctuary) and to Steve Eaton for a heartbreakingly beautiful rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”

Be thankful, Boise. Be very thankful for Stigers and the many dedicated folks that make the Xtravaganza a Boise holiday tradition.
