Garden City police make pot bust in Boise

January 16, 2014

A 30-year-old Treasure Valley man was charged with felony trafficking of marijuana after a traffic stop in Boise late Wednesday night.

Garden City Police stopped Casey G. White at Orchard Avenue and Irving Street after an officer observed several traffic violations. According to a Garden City police news release, the officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and Boise police brought in a K9 unit dog that indicated drugs were present.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a pound of marijuana, police said, estimating the street value at $3,700.

White also was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned on the charges Thursday afternoon.
