Zions Bank's public celebration of the grand opening of its Eighth & Main building in Downtown Boise just got a headlining act.
Bank officials said Tuesday that the Goo Goo Dolls will perform during the free public event scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15. The celebration also will include secondary acts, family friendly activities and a ribbon cutting.
The Goo Goo Dolls will perform on a stage spanning the width of Main Street in front of the Eighth & Main building, according to a news release. Main Street will be closed between Ninth Street and Capitol Boulevard during the festivities.
We believe that this epic celebration is fitting as we close the books on the Hole and pay tribute to the beautiful new building thats taken its place as the tallest in Idaho," Zions Bank President and CEO Scott Anderson said in the release. We hope citizens from Boise and beyond will join us to celebrate our new headquarters, which will provide expanded resources and services to individuals and businesses in the Gem State.
Other performers slated for the party include Allen Stone, a singer-songwriter from Washington. Kids activities will include face painting, bean bag toss, a photo booth and craft areas. The activities will take place under a large heated tent.
Refreshments will include a Smores Station, a variety of food trucks and a beer garden.
