Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State wrestling upset again in California

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The No. 20 Broncos lost their second dual in as many days, falling to Cal State Bakersfield 19-13 on Friday. Three Broncos recorded wins by decision — Jake Swartz (184 pounds), J.T. Felix (285) and Rami Haddadin (125) — while Travis Himmelman (141) won by major decision. BSU (1-3, 1-2 Pac-12) had not lost a league dual to a conference opponent in two years prior to Thursday’s 19-12 loss at Stanford.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes are tied for first in the Cascade Conference after a 75-67 win over Eastern Oregon in La Grande, Ore. Demetrius Perkins had a game-high 22 points for the C of I (14-5, 5-2 CCC).

C OF I WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: No. 13 Eastern Oregon beat the Coyotes 85-83 in La Grande. Dayna Drager led the C of I (7-8, 4-3 CCC) with 18 points.
