Police, deputies search for armed robbery suspect near McCall

Authorities say the man fired shots at McCall police.

The man is currently believed to be in the area of the CareFree subdivision south of McCall. Authorities ask residents there to lock their doors and windows, stay inside and only answer the door for police officers.

McCall police, Idaho State Police and the Valley County Sheriff's Office are currently searching for the man, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

The press release cites preliminary information. According to it, the man held up a business and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The release does not specify the business.

McCall police reportedly confronted the man, who fired at them.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a green, four-door pickup truck with no tailgate and an Idaho Vandals sticker in the rear window.
