Boise — Three interviews and an hour of discussion Wednesday weren’t enough for a selection panel to choose between three finalists in the Boise City Hall art contest.
The panel’s five members heard presentations from three teams vying for a $200,000 contract to build the artwork that will dominate City Hall Plaza. Boise artists Leslie Dixon, Francis Fox and Dwaine Carver are leading the teams of finalists.
City Council President Maryann Jordan, who is on the panel, said she expects the group to meet again by the end of the month. She expects a winner to be picked at that meeting.
The City Hall Plaza art contest is part of a larger overhaul of the plaza and City Hall itself. The Boise Arts and History Department wants the art finished in 2015.
