Pets rescued from house fire in Meridian

Firefighters from the Meridian Fire Department responded to a house fire at 2171 N.E. 10th Avenue in Meridian on midday Wednesday. When they arrived they rescued multiple pets, including two cats and a black dog, with the help of Meridian police officers. At least one cat and the black dog were given oxygen after their were rescued.

The fire was knocked down and two people were taken to the hospital with injuries.
