Boise State women host MW home opener tonight

STATESMAN STAFFJanuary 8, 2014

— Boise State hopes to get its first conference win of the year against last season’s Mountain West regular-season champions.

San Diego State (3-8, 0-1) visits Taco Bell Arena at 7 p.m. (1350 AM) to take on Boise State (5-7, 0-1). The Broncos have yet to defeat the Aztecs in their five meetings, but take on a team different than the one that beat Boise State by a combined 65 points last season.

The Aztecs, under first-year coach Stacie Terry, lost four starters coming into 2013-14, and are giving up 68.9 points per game after yielding 52.7 ppg in 2012-13. Boise State is 5-2 at home this season, scoring 75.0 ppg.
