Jacksons shop in Middleton targeted by armed robber early Sunday

This surveillance photo shows the man who robbed a convenience store in Middleton early Sunday morning.

A man wearing a mask and brandishing a handgun demanded cash and cigarettes from a clerk at a Jacksons store in Middleton during an overnight robbery, according to the Canyon County Sheriff's Office.

The robbery occurred just before 1 a.m. Sunday. The robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarette cartons.

The suspect was described as light-skinned, 5-foot-4-inches to 5-foot-9-inches tall and about 145 to 165 pounds.

He wore a black jacket with a light-colored vertical stripe down the front, blue jeans and black tennis shoes with white soles and white shoe laces. His black face mask had a light colored emblem on the forehead area.

Anyone with information about the suspect or this robbery is asked to call the sheriff's office, 454-7531.
