ECHL: Texas recalls two Idaho players; Steelheads win 5-2 in Las Vegas

BOISE — Goaltender Josh Robinson and forward Brock Montgomery have been called up to the Texas Stars of the AHL, the Steelheads announced Friday. This is the fourth time this season that Robinson has been sent from Idaho to Texas. Robinson has compiled a 9-3-1 record with the Steelheads. Montgomery began the season with Texas before being sent to Idaho on Oct. 25. The 21-year-old has tallied 15 points and a plus-6 rating in 21 games with the Steelheads.

IDAHO 5, LAS VEGAS 2: Five Steelheads scored en route to a victory over the Wranglers in Las Vegas. James Isaacs (power play), Gaelan Patterson and David de Kastrozza (short-handed) gave the Steelheads (15-9-4) a 3-0 advantage barely 15 minutes in. Las Vegas (8-15-3) tallied two goals before intermission, but couldn't score afterward against Pat Nagle (6-5-2), who stopped 32 shots. Mitch Wahl and Austin Fyten (empty net) added insurance goals.
