The public can check out the Treasure Valley's first such playground for free from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
The rope-tow lift will be running and snow tubes will be available. Boarders and skiers are invited to try out the berms and moguls.
"We made a lot of snow. The kids are going to love it," park builder Ryan Neptune said Friday.
The snow park is located at Eagle Island State Park on Hatchery Lane off Linder Road between State Street and Chinden Boulevard.
Starting Wednesday, Jan. 1, lift tickets will cost $10 for a full day and will include tube rental. The park will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekends and holidays and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays.
The state will receive 5 percent of all ticket sales in addition to the $5 park entrance fee.
