Ada County Pet of the Week: Shady the pitbull terrier

December 24, 2013

Shady, 10, is a neutered male, black and white, pit bull terrier.

Shady has the unfortunately title of being the shelter's longest resident. Shady is a happy senior who is overjoyed anytime he gets to play with toys. Shady is house-trained and would do best in a home where he is allowed to live indoors. Although he takes part in play groups at the shelter, Shady would prefer not to share his people and toys with another dog in his new home. Shady knows all his basic commands and loves showing them off for treats.

Shady can be found in kennel 302 (#14861792) at the Idaho Humane Society at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Idaho Humane Society Shelter and Veterinary Medical Center will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday and will be closed all day on Wednesday. Regular hours resume on Thursday.
