A 22-year-old Boise man was arrested on a felony drug charge this weekend after a bouncer told police the man tried to slip Ecstasy into a woman’s drink.

Logan M. Mallard, 22, was arrested on suspicion of delivering a controlled substance early Sunday morning after a bouncer at a Downtown Boise nightclub handed officers a vial of liquid and said a man, later identified as Mallard, was seen trying to put the liquid in a woman’s drink.

Police searched Mallard with his consent and found a similar vial and three plastic baggies containing about 40 pills and capsules, according to the BPD’s weekend incident report, released Monday. The substance field-tested positive for the drug Ecstasy/MDMA, police said.

Mallard was booked into the Ada County Jail, where he remained Monday afternoon.
