Idaho colleges roundup: College of Idaho men win, setting up big game tonight

CALDWELL — The Coyotes basketball team defeated Oregon Tech 83-64 on Friday night. Taylor Pruett had a game-high 24 points for the C of I, which earned its biggest win over the three-time NAIA champs since 2001. The Coyotes (11-4, 2-1 Cascade Conference) will host No. 2 Southern Oregon at approximately 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the J.A. Albertson Activities Center. The game will tip off after the women’s game between the same two schools.

C OF I WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes defeated No. 14 Oregon Tech 73-65 in Caldwell. Elisha Hensey had a game-high 23 points for the C of I (5-6, 2-1), which won its 11th straight over the Owls.

BOISE STATE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Eastern Washington defeated the Broncos 81-66 in Cheney, Wash. Miquelle Askew led BSU (4-6) with 13 points.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Hawaii Pacific defeated the No. 17 Crusaders 72-71 late Thursday night in Honolulu. Chelsie Luke led NNU (8-2, 1-1) with a game-high 20 points.
