Police raid brings drug arrests

December 20, 2013

Two suspected associates of Hispanic gang members were arrested Friday after police seized just under an ounce of crystal methamphetamine and more than $1,000 in cash.

Soledad Lopez Salinas, 42, and Kevin Lee Wilke, 44, both of Boise, were taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and manufacture of narcotics paraphernalia.

The arrests were made by members of the Boise Police Gang Unit and special agents from the federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Police said Lopez and Wilke are associates of Sureno gang members.

The special operations team of the Boise Police Department assisted in searching the suspects' residence at 1305 S. Longmont Ave.

The arrests were part of an ongoing investigation of Sureno gang activities.
