Idaho colleges roundup: C of I men’s basketball hosting big weekend

CALDWELL — The College of Idaho (10-4, 1-1) hosts its biggest Cascade Conference weekend of the season Friday and Saturday as Oregon Tech (7-5, 2-0) and second-ranked Southern Oregon (12-1, 2-0) come to Caldwell, respectively. Southern Oregon is the third top-two team in the NAIA Division II Top 25 poll to visit Caldwell, joining Oregon Tech in 2003 and Eastern Oregon in 2013. Both games start at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the J.A. Albertson Activities Center, following women’s games between the same teams.

BOISE STATE GYMNASTICS: The Broncos are predicted to win a Mountain Rim title, based on a coaches preseason poll. The rest of the order includes Denver, Southern Utah, BYU and Utah State. Boise State opens its home season Jan. 17 against BYU and Denver.
