Lake Hazel crash injures three teens

December 14, 2013

An 18-year-old woman traveling west on Lake Hazel Road failed to yield and collided Saturday afternoon with a Ford F150 pickup headed north on Meridian Road, police said.

The wreck happened at about 12:30 p.m. The teenager, who was not publicly identified and who was driving a Hyundai Accent, was required to stop at a stop sign on Lake Hazel. The driver of the pickup was a 56-year-old woman who also was not identified publicly by the Ada County Sheriff's Office.

The driver of the Accent, along with two passengers, ages 16 and 17, were taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries that the sheriff's office said did not appear to be life-threatening. The driver of the pickup was not injured, deputies said.
