Tyrone Wells headlines Concert for Cause at the Knitting Factory

mdeeds@idahostatesman.comDecember 13, 2013

This year’s Concert for Cause headliner is singer-songwriter Tyrone Wells.

With fundraising proceeds averaging about $15,000 each year, 94.9 FM The River's Concert for Cause is a boon for local charities.

Fans attend not only to see live music - this year's headliner is singer-songwriter Tyrone Wells - but to check out the silent auction beforehand.

There's always loads of signed goodies, but the coolest auction item is definitely a compilation CD of acts that participated in the River's on-air Listener Lounge mini-concert series. The person who wins that auction item also gets two seats to every River live-music session in 2014. Rock on.

Benefit for The Women's and Children's Alliance. Silent auction at 6:30 p.m. and music at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 18, Knitting Factory, 416 S. 9th St., Boise. $20. TicketWeb. Opening: Satellite
