Local roundup: Boise State soccer honors two Treasure Valley athletes

— Sophomore Brooke Heidemann (Rocky Mountain High), who led the Broncos in goals this season with nine, is the team's attacking MVP of the year. Freshman Baylee Blaser (Mountain View High) is the rookie of the year.

Senior Katy Oehring is the team MVP, and junior Mikhaila Bowden is the defensive MVP. Other award winners include: KT Clayton (offensive play of the year), Dominique Banks (defensive play of the year), Gabby Garcia (Top Bronco) and Rebe Wolverton (BFF Award).

MONTANA HONORS BOISE PLAYER: Redshirt freshman quarterback Makena Simis (Capital High) is the Grizzlies' offensive scout team player of the year.

IDAHO STAMPEDE: Guard Pierre Jackson is the NBA Development League co-performer of the week, along with Isaiah Canaan of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
