Winter makes its presence felt in Boise

The Treasure Valley woke up to another brutally cold morning Monday, but there's good news in the forecast.

The temperature will be several degrees below zero for most Monday morning commuters, and it won't get warmer than 14 today, according to the National Weather Service.

A gradual warming trend will continue throughout the week, with Tuesday's high forecast to hit 20 degrees and Wednesday expected to reach 25. No precipitation is expected.

Boise might even reach the freezing threshold of 32 degrees by Friday, when there's a 30 percent chance of snow. Next weekend's temperatures could reach into the upper 30s.
