Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State women fall to Portland on the road

PORTLAND - The Pilots led wire-to-wire en route to an 85-71 basketball win over the Broncos on Sunday. Miquelle Askew matched her career high with 21 points for Boise State (4-4), and was one of just three Broncos in double digits. Yaiza Rodriguez Ortego had 15 points, and Keiahnna Engel added 10.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The No. 18 Crusaders suffered their first loss late Saturday, falling to Saint Martin's 61-56 in Lacey, Wash. Megan Hingston had 20 points and 10 rebounds for NNU (7-1, 1-1 GNAC).

BSU SWIMMING & DIVING: The Broncos took second at the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa. Boise State earned victories in the 400- and 800-yard freestyle relays, and racked up 742.5 points in the three-day event. Notre Dame (823) won the title.
