December 7, 2013

Noberto Parma, 47, was a passenger in a car that lost control Saturday on Interstate 84 and was struck by a semi-truck coming from the opposite direction.

Janice Parma, 39 was headed west in a 2004 Nissan Exterra at about 9:18 a.m. at Milepost 30 near Caldwell when she lost control due to the icy road, the Idaho State Police reported.

The car crossed the median into the eastbound lanes when it was struck by a 2009 Peterbilt driven by Jazmine Reann, 40, of Nampa.

Noberto Parma, whose relationship to Janice Parma was not immediately clear, was ejected and died at the scene, police said.

Janice Parma was taken by ambulance to St. Luke's Nampa Medical Center.
