Boise State men's basketball 8-0 after win over Carroll; No. 3 Kentucky next

December 5, 2013

Boise State improved to 8-0 with an 80-52 win over Carroll on Thursday. Seniors Jeff Elorriaga and Thomas Bropleh had 18 points apiece, while senior Ryan Watkins had 12 points and 14 rebounds. The Broncos will play next at No. 3 Kentucky on Tuesday at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

"Out of all my years of coaching, I think it's got to be the most athletic top to bottom team I've ever coached against," Boise State coach Leon Rice said of the Wildcats.

At the half, Boise State led Carroll 39-24. Elorriaga had five 3-pointers to lead the Broncos with 15 points, while Bropleh had 10 points.

Boise State's Anthony Drmic, the Broncos' top scorer, did not suit up. He is out sick — it is only the second game the junior has missed in his career.
