Jackson Cluff made an unofficial visit to the Provo, Utah, campus last week and gave a verbal commitment to play baseball for the Cougars.

Cluff was the starting second baseman for Rocky Mountain High and also started at shortstop for Mountain West Baseball at the USA Baseball Championships and National Team Identification Series, Perfect Game Fall Championships and Arizona Fall Classic this past season.

He received offers from Utah, Hawaii and Salt Lake City Community College, his family said.

Cluff plans to serve a two-year LDS mission before enrolling at BYU.
