HOW MANY PEOPLE WEIGHED IN?

The city received 416 forms with a total of 3,250 comments, Boise Public Arts Manager Karen Bubb said. The 27 proposals attracted more feedback than any previous public art project in Boise, she said.

WHICH WERE MOST POPULAR?

"Wooded River," by Boise artist Leslie Dixon, received 160 positive comments, according to records compiled by the city's Department of Arts and History. "Terrain, Civics, Ecology," by Dwaine Carver, also of Boise, was second with 117 positive comments.

LEAST POPULAR?

The 105 negative comments on "Relationship Series IV," by Hailey's Joseph Castle, edged the 104 about Sparks, Nev., artist Eileen Gay's "Boise - You are Here."

HOW MANY WERE LOCAL?

There were 21 Idaho residents who entered artwork. Valley artists submitted all but two of those.

WHAT'S NEXT?

A five-member panel will review the proposals and comments, select a group of finalists, and choose a winner. The city hopes to award the contract in January.
