Two more officials retire from Idaho Department of Labor

December 3, 2013

Two more high-level positions are open at the Idaho Department of Labor.

John McAllister retired Nov. 29 from his position as Chief Deputy Director. McAllister had worked in the department for nearly 42 years.

Mark Whitworth, an administrator, retired recently after 39 years spent working for the state. Whitworth worked for three years at the Department of Agriculture between stints with Labor. Whitworth had been supervising the development of iUS, the department's new computer system that will replace the mainframe for processing unemployment insurance.

McAllister and Whitworth make up the third high-level position to open recently. Director Roger Madsen retired Nov. 15. Gov. Butch Otter appointed Ken Edmunds to replace Madsen as head of the department.
