Small section of Greenbelt to close for repairs this week

December 3, 2013

A small section of the Boise Greenbelt will be closed to bicyclists and pedestrians this week while repairs are performed by the Ada County Highway District.

The closed portion of the Greenbelt is at the Eckert Road Bridge near Barber Park. ACHD is repairing erosion damage and stabilizing a section of the path on the northwest side of the bridge.

The closure begins Wednesday and is scheduled to end Friday. Several detours are available. Bicyclists and pedestrians who want to safely cross over the Boise River are encouraged to do so via the East Parkcenter Bridge.

For more information about the project, contact ACHD spokesman Craig Quintana at 387-6107 or cquintana@achdidaho.org.
