After declining, Idaho jobless rates rise

Eleven of the 44 counties had higher unemployment in October 2013 than in the previous October, but the statewide rate was still up slightly — 6.7 percent compared with 6.6 percent in 2012. Idaho businesses reported hiring nearly 20,000 people in October, the second-highest total for any month since December 2007. Nearly all of the jobs were replacement jobs.
