Enjoy a holiday First Thursday in Boise

• Boise gets in the spirit as artists fill Downtown windows with beautiful and clever holiday scenes for Winter Window Gallery Stroll 2013. Find a list of all the artists and businesses at DowntownBoise.org. Vote for your favorites on the DBA’s Facebook page.

• This First Thursday will be one of the last times to see Bertha the Talking Cow star in “Bertha Goes West.” The Idaho Historical Museum will retire its Marionette Program at the end of the year. Shows are at 5:30 and 7 p.m.

• Celebrate the new South 8th Street renovation with Ballet Idaho, Opera Idaho, Foothills School and other groups and businesses in the Cultural District. Hear caroling by the opera’s children’s chorus, see flash mobs of mice and meet characters from “The Nutcracker.” You also can peruse the new indoor Boise Farmers Market.
