Amy Westover is one of the 40 artists in the Boise Art Museum’s Idaho Triennial. In it, she has three pieces, including “Code.”

The kiln-formed glass symbols were inspired by alchemy. Ancient alchemists sought to transform lesser metals into gold. “Alchemy also is a metaphor for transforming one’s self into your divine self,” Westover says.
