Moderate air quality expected Friday in Valley as inversion continues

November 28, 2013

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has issued a yellow/moderate air quality alert for Ada and Canyon counties Friday.

Fireplace and woodstove use will be permitted in both counties. All outdoor burning is prohibited in Canyon County cities and throughout Ada County when the air quality index reaches 60 or above.

Friday’s forecast air quality index is 64 for fine particulates due to continued inversion conditions, the department reports.
