Idaho colleges roundup: New Mexico State eliminates Idaho from WAC Tournament

PHOENIX — The top-ranked Aggies volleyball team held off the No. 4 Vandals 27-29, 26-24, 26-28, 25-12, 15-12 in the Western Athletic Conference semifinals Tuesday at GCU Arena. New Mexico plays No. 2 Bakersfield in the championship Wednesday.

IDAHO WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: San Diego topped the Vandals 74-64 in San Diego. Junior Stacey Barr led the Vandals (3-2) with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO MEN’S BASKETBALL: Taylor Pruett scored a career-high 27 points in an 89-78 home win against Lewis-Clark State, helping the Coyotes (8-2) extend their winning streak to eight games, their longest streak in 13 years.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE MEN’S SOCCER: Junior Fredy Razo was voted to the Daktronics All-West Region first team after scoring a league-best 16 goals this season, including four in one game to tie a school and league record.

NNU VOLLEYBALL: Redshirt junior middle blocker Andrea Terpstra, junior setter Michelle Terpstra and sophomore outside hitter Elayna Rice were named to the All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference team. The Terpstra sisters were first-team picks and Rice was an honorable-mention selection.

NNU WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Crusaders (4-0) are ranked No. 25 in the USA Today NCAA Division II national poll, achieving a Top 25 ranking for the second time in school history at the Division II level.
