Idaho Steelheads trade Gron; host Las Vegas tonight

— Idaho sent forward Tyler Gron to San Francisco in exchange for Damon Kipp on Monday.

Kipp, 25, is in second year of pro hockey after playing four years at the University of New Hampshire. He had four assists and six penalty minutes in 16 games with the Bulls this season.

Gron had three goals in 14 games with Idaho, which plays Las Vegas on Tuesday night at CenturyLink Arena, the first of 11 straight home games over the next 27 days.

Also, Texas of the AHL announced they have returned goalie Josh Robinson and defenseman Hubert Labrie to Idaho. Each player has split time between the AHL and the ECHL this season. Robinson has played four games with Texas and five with Idaho (4-1-0). Labrie has played in four AHL games and three ECHL games.
