Ada County Pet of the Week: Tico the Plott Hound mix

November 26, 2013

Tico, 4, is a neutered male, black and brown brindle and white, Plott Hound mix. Tico is a sweetheart of a dog that wishes to be a 40-pound lap dog. He is people-oriented and bonds quickly to new people. Tico already knows most of his basic obedience commands and is house-trained. He is good with older children, cats and other dogs. It is recommended that he be fed by himself because his previous owner reported some resource guarding behavior. Tico enjoys playing fetch with balls and stuffed toys. He'll make a great companion for someone who wants a very interactive, indoor dog. He has a short, easy-to-care-for coat and is a nice, medium size. If you think this perpetually smiling hound dog might be a good fit for your home, please come meet him at the shelter today.

Tico can be found in kennel 405 (#9138426) at the Idaho Humane Society at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
