Thanksgiving holiday closures in the Treasure Valley

Here's a list of what’s open and closed for Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28:

- Schools in the Boise, Meridian, Kuna, Caldwell, Melba and Vallivue, Nampa and Middleton school districts are closed.

- Boise State University and administrative offices will be closed.

- All county, state and federal offices will be closed Thursday. Some county and city offices will be closed Friday; check your local office..

- All local libraries will be closed. Call your local branch for Friday hours.

- Allied Waste in Ada and Canyon counties, Sanitary Services in Meridian, J & M Sanitation Service in Kuna and Benjamin’s Rural Disposal in rural Canyon County will not operate Thursday; trash collection will be delayed by one day the rest of the week.

- ValleyRide city buses will not run on Thursday.

- Post offices will be closed, and no mail, except Express Mail, will be delivered.

- Boise Towne Square mall will be closed; some stores will open at 8 p.m. Thursday. Karcher Mall in Nampa and the Boise Outlet Mall are closed Thursday.

- All state liquor stores will be closed.

- Some supermarkets will be open Thursday; hours might be limited at some locations.

- Banks will be closed.
