Suspects in knifepoint robbery arrested

November 22, 2013

— The Ada County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man and a woman in connection with an armed robbery early Friday morning.

Randy Donald Siegfried Jr., 24, is suspected of robbing a Maverik convenience store just after midnight. Brandi Lee Fain, 32, is accused of helped him by driving him to the store to commit the crime.

Employees say Siegfried was dressed in black and wearing a ski mask when he pulled a knife on two store employees. They gave him an undisclosed amount of money, and he left the store, detectives say. The employees were not hurt.

Deputies responded to the store, located at 3080 Five Mile Road, at 12:13 a.m., and found Fain walking a block away 10 minutes later.

Siegfried was arrested just after 4 a.m., walking along Victory Road and still wearing dark clothing.

Both suspects have been charged with felony robbery, and are due to appear in court Monday afternoon.
