Idaho Power CEO Keen to retire

Idaho Power CEO J. LaMont Keen will retire after 39 years with the company.

Keen is also retiring from president and CEO positions at Idaho Power's parent company, Idacorp. His will retire from Idaho Power Dec. 31 and from Idacorp April 30, 2014.

Keen will remain on the boards of both companies after retiring.

Keen was president of Idaho Power until 2011, when Darrel Anderson took the position. Anderson will succeed Keen in his positions at both Idaho Power and Idacorp.

"While I am not leaving the company immediately, the transition timeline is in place, as it should be," Keen said in a prepared statement.

Anderson currently holds titles as Idacorp executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Keen is a board member of the Edison Electric Institute and of the St. Luke's Hospital System Treasure Valley. Keen is also a member of the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry Board of Directors.

He is a former chairman of the Western Energy Institute.
