Kuna man charged with rape

November 20, 2013

— A Kuna man is facing a felony rape charge after a woman told deputies he sexually assaulted her Saturday.

The woman said she left a dance club in Caldwell early Saturday morning with a group of people she did not know, including 20-year-old Leonardo Medina-Rodriguez.

Medina-Rodriguez and the woman went to a home on McDermott Road, where the victim said he had sex with her without consent. She left the home and drove to a house in Meridian, where a third party called police.

Detectives interviewed the suspect before arresting him Saturday afternoon. Bond was set at $150,000 during a Monday arraignment.

Medina-Rodriguez faces up to life in prison if convicted of rape. He is also being held at Ada County Jail on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold, meaning he may not be a legal resident.
