Garden City police: Caldwell man threatened women with a gun

A 35-year-old Caldwell man was booked into the Ada County Jail on felony charges Saturday night, according to Garden City police.

Police say Mark Michel threatened two women with a gun, then fled on foot. The incident occurred in the 5700 block of Garrett Street at about 6:10 p.m.

After a short search of the area, Michel was taken into custody. He is currently on parole and is prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Michel was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at the Ada County Courthouse at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
