Police responded to a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Idaho 55 at about 4:42 p.m.

Here's what investigators said happened:

• Richard Sullivan, 18, of Melba was northbound on Lake in a 2000 Chrysler Sebring when he entered the intersection, turning left from the stop sign, and was hit by Corey West, 22, of Kuna. West was eastbound on Idaho 55 in a 2008 Nissan Altima.

• West's car overturned on the driver's side and slid onto the canal bank.

West wasn't hurt, but Sullivan was taken to West Valley Medical Center. The extent of his injuries was unknown.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, police said.
