Pet of the week

November 12, 2013

Sagittarius, 4, is a blue merle, male Catahoula leopard dog/mix. At 45 pounds he is not too big or too small. He appears very timid, but give him a little time to warm up and you will discover what a great dog he is. He already knows the “sit” command and it appears that he is housebroken. He isn’t especially interested in toys, but he sure does respond well to yummy treats. And he likes other dogs. No kitties for him however! Sagittarius is neutered, microchipped and current on all vaccines.

Sagittarius is located in kennel number 12 at the Canyon County Animal Shelter located at 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. For more information on our other adoptable pets, please visit our website at
