Crews demolish historic Boise house damaged in fire

November 9, 2013

A Friday morning fire in one of Boise's most endangered historic neighborhoods, the Central Addition just north of Julia Davis Park, badly damaged two houses that were more than 100 years old. The houses stood in the 400 block of S. 4th St.

Crews demolished what was left of the house on the corner of 4th and Myrtle early Saturday morning. A structural engineer had said that the house was in danger of collapsing onto the road.

The fate of the second house damaged in the fire is unclear.
