Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State, Idaho hockey teams face off Saturday

BOISE — The Broncos and Vandals compete in the annual Senior Hunger on Ice Black and Blue Rivalry Game at 1 p.m. at CenturyLink Arena. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $4 for students. Ages 12 and younger get in free. Proceeds will benefit Meals on Wheels.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: The Coyotes clinched a share of their eighth-straight Cascade Conference title with a 25-16, 25-19, 25-16 victory over Northwest Christian in Caldwell.

C OF I WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes lost to Westminster College 71-65 in Salt Lake City. Chakala Carthen had her third-straight double-double for the C of I (0-3) with 20 points and 10 boards.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Crusaders edged Eastern Oregon 83-82 in an exhibition game in Nampa. Megan Hingston led NNU with 19 points, and Kylee Schierman added 14 points and 12 rebounds.

NNU MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Crusaders lost to Point Loma Nazarene 65-54 in Nampa. Kevin Rima scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds for NNU.

IDAHO WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: No. 25 Gonzaga beat the Vandals 64-56 in Spokane. Alyssa Charlston scored 15 points to go with nine rebounds.

IDAHO STATE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Bengals topped Black Hills State 60-41 in Pocatello.
