McCall pilot, two Washington men killed in Idaho plane crash

November 8, 2013

Valley County officials have confirmed three people died in a plane crash east of Donnelly.

Killed in the crash are the pilot, Dan Wilson of McCall, and two passengers, Mike Wolf and Steve Hall of Washington. Information on the passengers' hometowns or ages is not yet available.

Bad weather hampered the search for the Cessna 206 single-engine airplane, which vanished Wednesday after taking off from McCall bound for the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness.

The aircraft's emergency locator transmitter signal indicated the a potential crash site in a remote area not accessible by motorized vehicles.

Crews reached the crash site Friday morning; the tail number on the plane they found matches the overdue plane from Wednesday. Crews are recovering the crash victims at this time.

The plane is registered to Wilderness Aircraft of McCall.
