MWI Veterinary Supply Inc. of Boise announces $14.2 million quarterly profit

MWI Veterinary Supply Inc. reported profits increased 12.8  percent from the previous year to $14.2 million during the latest quarter ending Sept. 30.

The Boise company sells animal health products, including pharmaceuticals, vaccines and nutritional products in the U.S. and United Kingdom for pets and animal farms.

MWI Veterinary Supply reported revenues of $605.1 million for the quarter, bringing revenues for the past year to $2.3 billion.In August, Fortune Magazine named  MWI Veterinary Supply on it's "100 Fastest-Growing Companies" list for the third-straight year.

The company purchased  Ivesco Holdings Nov. 1 for $67.5 million. Ivesco sells more than 25,000 products and has more than 6,000 customers in five areas of focus:  veterinarians, swine integrators, dealers, poultry integrators and cattle.
