Missing 91-year-old Nampa man found alive

— An elderly man who was missing since Tuesday has been found and is safe, the Canyon County Sheriff's Office confirmed Thursday morning.

A search was launched for 91-year-old Charles Thornburg of Nampa on Wednesday. The sheriff's office released a physical description of Thornburg and the car he was driving, and asked the public to keep an eye out for him.

Thornberg left his home at 2 p.m. Tuesday in a silver Chevrolet Equinox to buy groceries at WinCo Foods in Nampa. He was supposed to be back within two hours, but never returned, deputies said.
