Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State women cruise in exhibition

Kayla Reinhart scored 25 points to lead the Broncos a commanding 95-58 victory in an exhibition game against Southern Oregon on Monday at Taco Bell Arena. The Broncos used a 17-0 run to break open the game early. Keiahnna Engel added 16 points for BSU, and Brooke Pahukoa chipped in 14. The game was a tune-up for Friday’s season opener against Southern Utah at 5:30 p.m. — the first contest of a doubleheader with the men’s team, which faces UT Arlington at 8 p.m.

Boise State men’s golf tied for 17th at Hawaii tourney

PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii — Ty Travis is tied for 21st after the opening round of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational on Monday, leading the Broncos in the final event of the fall season. Travis recorded a 2-under 70, carding four birdies and two bogeys. BSU’s team score of 294 (6-over) is six strokes back of the top 10. Cal State Fullerton leads the event at 272. The second round is Tuesday.

BSU SOCCER: The third-seeded Broncos open the Mountain West Tournament with a quarterfinal matchup against No. 7 Wyoming at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Albuquerque, N.M.
