Mark Twain Visits the Boise River: Monday, Nov. 4, 7 p.m., Boise Public Library, main branch, Hayes Auditorium. Twain will be portrayed by naturalist John Heimer, a river conservationist, retired fisheries biologist and Boise River guide.

Public library closure: Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, all libraries will be closed.

Idaho Authors Community: Monday, Nov. 11, 7-9 p.m., Maui Wowi, Meridian.
