If the dude from Hootie & The Blowfish can do it, why can't Aaron Lewis? The frontman for mopey hard-rockers Staind has gone full-blown country, perplexing and horrifying old fans while winning new ones with cliche-packed songs such as "Country Boy." Lewis drops all the right names and political sentiments into his country tunes, and he still has a capable singing voice. Besides, when's the last time that authenticity was necessary for success as a modern-day country singer? In the words of Lewis back in his Staind days: It's been awhile.
