Rocky Mtn. at Timberline (DLP)
Rocky Mountain is assured the No. 2 playoff seed win or lose. Timberline has much more riding on this game. A win by the Wolves assures them the No. 5 seed, but a loss in combination with a Meridian win over Mountain View would eliminate the Wolves from the postseason.
Meridian at Mountain View
Playoff seeding is still in flux for both of these teams, although Meridian's chances are more complicated. After Eagle's victory over Capital, Mountain View would fall to fourth with a loss. Meridian needs a victory in combination with a Timberline loss to Rocky Mountain to steal the final playoff spot.
Boise at Vallivue
Neither of these teams are in the running for a playoff berth, but that doesn't mean they don't have anything to play for. The winner of this game avoids finishing last in the 5A SIC.
Nampa at Bishop Kelly
Nampa has been eliminated from the playoffs, but could end the season on a high note by knocking off the Knights. BK is assured the No. 1 seed and a first-round home playoff game no matter how the Knights fare against Nampa.
Caldwell at Emmett
This is the final game in the 4A SIC for Emmett, which drops down to the 3A SRV next year. Both teams have been eliminated from the postseason, but are trying to finish the season with two straight wins.
Columbia at Skyview
Skyview's playoff fate has already been sealed. The Hawks will be the No. 2 seed from District Three and hit the road for the first round of the playoffs at the District One-Two champion. Columbia can't make the playoffs, but hopes to end a five-game skid.
Twin Falls at Kuna
Guaranteed the district's No. 3 seed, Kuna knows it has a rematch with Bishop Kelly looming next week. Twin Falls should be a good trial run, as the Bruins are a postseason lock after winning the District Four's regular-season title.
Mountain Home at Middleton
Neither of these teams can qualify for the postseason, but there is still something at stake. The winner of this game avoids finishing last in the 4A SIC.
Parma at Gooding
As the No. 3 seed from District Three, Parma hits the road to play the District Four champion. Gooding won its first six games before finishing with back-to-back losses to Homedale and Grangeville.
Filer at Homedale
Homedale earned the right to host this first-round playoff game by claiming the 3A SRV's regular-season title. Filer lost its first six games, but grabbed the District Four's third playoff spot with wins over Valley and Kimberly.
Nampa Christian at Grangeville
These teams met in the first round of the playoffs last season under the same circumstances. Grangeville is the District One-Two champion and has won five in a row. Nampa Christian is the District Three's No. 4 seed and lost 42-6 to Grangeville last year.
Declo at Melba
Melba is back in the playoffs after a one-year absence, but in a better position after earning the No. 2 seed and the right to host a first-round game. Declo finished as state runner-up last year.
Rimrock at Challis
Despite earning just one win, Rimrock slipped into the postseason as District Three's No. 3 seed. Challis is the District Four-Five-Six runner-up, and beat District Three champ Idaho City 50-42 in September.
Raft River at Notus
District Three teams did not advance out of last year's state play-in games, but Notus is hoping to change that with a home game. Raft River is the No. 3 seed out of District Four-Five-Six and has won five of its past six games. Raft River advanced to the semifinals last season.
Murtaugh at Idaho City
A year after finishing last among District Three teams, Idaho City vaults into the playoffs as the regular-season champion, having won three straight games. Murtaugh is a No. 4 seed, but has won its past two games.
Tri-Valley at Council
These teams kicked off the season against each other on Aug. 30, but this game is the one that counts toward the league standings. Council won their first meeting 56-8.
Centennial at Borah (DLP)
This is the final game of the season for both teams, who are tied for seventh in the standings. Borah narrowly defeated Centennial 28-22 last season.
Fruitland at Buhl
Fruitland hasn't had to hit the road for a first-round playoff game in a long time, but can consider the glass half full as the Grizzlies' opponent is two-win Buhl. Buhl has lost its past three games.
St. Maries vs. Cole Valley (Meridian High)
Undefeated Cole Valley went from finishing last in the 2A WIC last season to a regular-season title. The Chargers now set their sights on a quarterfinal berth if they can get past two-win St. Maries, which has lost four straight.
New Plymouth at Orofino
Orofino hasn't had much luck against 2A WIC schools recently. The Maniacs have been eliminated in the first round four years in a row by a District Three school, including New Plymouth in 2010.
